We are always looking for caring volunteers, at the Shelter and with Friends.

Below is some information to help:

At the Shelter:

1. You must be over 18 or over 13 and have parent’s permission.
   
   

2. You must apply & register with the Santa Monica Animal Shelter front desk.
   
   

3. Shifts and job responsibilities are determined by Shelter staff and varies by time of year, number of animals at the shelter and work that needs to be done.

For Friends of the Santa Monica Shelter:

As our programs and activities get under way in early 2019, we will be seeking help in the following areas:

1. Website Maintenance
   

2. Social Media
   

3. Community Outreach
   

4. Fundraising
   

5. Event Planning & Mangement
